| Changing Connection Settings to support UPnP and Passive modes |
In this upgrade, the Ojo software was modified to better support Symmetric NAT routers. As a result, you may have received the following message: "Symmetric NAT Found Recommend changing NAT Traversal to UPnP or Passive".
If you received this message or it continues to display on your Ojo, please perform the following steps or contact customer service at 1-877-FOR MY OJO (1-877-367-6965). Our technicians will assist you in resolving this issue.
If your Ojo is displaying the screen that states "Found symmetric NAT. Suggest NAT Traversal "UPnP" or "Passive" and press the right arrow. 1. Arrow down to "Advanced" and press Select. 2. Arrow down to "NAT Traversal" and press Select. 3. Arrow down until the word "UPnP" appears in the box and press Select. 4. Press the left arrow. 5. Press the left arrow to highlight "Yes" on the confirmation pop-up and press Select. 6. Press the "End" button to return to the home screen. 7. Your Ojo has been configured for "UPnP" and should now be fully functional.
If you Ojo is displaying the "Home" screen, arrow down to "Main Menu" and press Select. 1. Arrow up to "Connection" and press Select. 2. Arrow down to "Advanced" and press Select. 3. Arrow down to "NAT Traversal" and press Select. 4. Arrow down until the word "UPnP" appears in the box and press Select. 5. Press the left arrow. 6. Press the left arrow to highlight "Yes" on the confirmation pop-up and press Select. 7. Press the "End" button to return to the home screen. 8. Your Ojo has been configured for "UPnP" and should now be fully functional.
If your Ojo continues to display the "Symetric Router" message, you may need to enable UPnP on your router. Consult with your router manual or contact Ojo customer service for assistance.
If you have made the changes listed above and the UPnP support is enabled on your router, follow the steps detailed above and select "Passive" in place of "UPnP".
UPnP is a technology that allows the Ojo to communicate more effectively with your in-home router. Your router must support UPnP for this option to work.
